Kansei Workshop

Together with Joran vd Aart, Emar Vegt, Remco Magielse & Tom Frissen | 1 day | 2008

Kansei concerns affective processes on a subconscious level as a reaction to external stimuli. It encompasses subjective notions such as passion, emotion, aesthetics and enlightenment. In a one-day workshop we have been exploring this approach and designed for experience and social collaboration. A tool was created which disorients you and through active movement enables you to orient again. Because the users’ perceptive abilities depend on the behavior of others, their image of the world changes accordingly. Users are forced to pay attention to details in their perception, because their sight is very limited. The movie below explains the concept.
